Administrative Detail -
Bill Strauss was born in Transvvaal in South Africa, 1916. He signed for Aberdeen 1935 and served with the Royal Corps of Signals and Commandos during the war. In 1946 he signed for Plymouth Argyle and retired from football in 1953 aged 37 years. Bill died in 1982 aged 66 years.
The collection was deposited with SWiB by Bill's daughter in 2007.
Scope and Content
Collection of photographs and news paper cuttings. Includes a trophy, sporting programmes and other miscellaneous material relating to the Plymouth Argyle player.
