"I remember when St Teresas was built, next to a bombed out Wesleyan Church which had a cheap and cheerful restaurant [Sellicks Wesleyan Restaurant] in the basement. As a Sutton High School boy from 1944 to 1947, I recall we were not permitted to make use of the restaurant.

St Teresas was used as the site for Dingles bakery during that time. In the same area though not shown in the photograph there was the naval studies library which existed adjacent to the Wesleyan Church."
